Bjorn, it looks great! Love seeing pics of your work. Also, love seeing pics of folks making custom improvements to their MVs using scrap parts and sheet metal. Really shows off what you can do with some small parts, scrap metal and spare time.

Hmm, how useful is a transmission temp gauge? Why not go a step further and get one for the transfer box too? Are you measuring oil temp?

Ryan, the 6-speed automatic has a hydraulic brake built in and there is a large transmission fluid cooler. The system only has a "dummy" light for monitoring, which turns on at 305°F, so I feel that a gauge will be better, never cared much for dummy lights.
The EGT gauge displays readings from two probes, so there will be a way to trace a faulty injector, for example, at least I think it will be possible, since it should effect the exhaust temp in that half of the manifold.

Being on the road, having more, not fewer, gauges is comforting.
Image shows the two EGT probes.

Ok, that makes sense. I've thought about such measurements but for a closed transmission there's not much to look for other than incipient failure.

Thanks, I'm as curious as you Devin, no waste gate, the description from the TM: "...dual chambered specifically designed for this engine to provide proper airflow at all engine speeds"....

Bjorn, what brand is the dual EGT gauge?
Hewitt Industries, like the boost gauge and thermocouples.
The boost gauge has an LED light and the EGT a standard incandescent. Both dim when voltage is reduced, so the LED must have a special driver built-in. I asked for matching gauges, but they overlooked the lights, so now I have redish for the military gauge and two different shades of white light.... :?

I also added two lights to shine on the big dash below controlled by the switch.
