I bought my m1123 on 3/11/21Well, now I learning the EUC is the easy part. Turns out the real wait is for the Title/SF-97. I'm super anxious to try and get this thing registered (m1123), but keep getting told to expect 90 business days from the day of pickup (interesting that it's not the day of EUC approval). So, I picked up my HMMWV on Sep 10 and should expect my title somewhere around the 24th of Jan 2022! Freaking nuts. I bought this thing 02 June.
Have you been bugging them?I bought my m1123 on 3/11/21
EUC cleared 6/4/21
Been sitting with my thumb you know where for about ~120 days with no end in sight for my sf97. 90 days is a fat freaking lie.
I’m worried if I keep bugging them they’ll put my sf97 in a shredder when it comes.Have you been bugging them?
I also ordered a notarized bill of sale. I was told it would ship to me in just a couple days from my order. 3 weeks later, nothing. I've called a couple times about it. Today I called and was disconnected twice, transferred 4 times, then finally spoke to a nice lady who said she'd draft it up right now and have it shipped today. I need to find a similar lady in the SF-97/Title department.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I did go to the DMV to discuss this and was told as long as my title does not say 'for off-road use only' I'll be ok. Gov planet has assured me the title will not say this, whenever I do actually receive it. In the mean time I am pursuing getting a 17 digit vin assigned. You will find Colorado a challenging state in which to try and register a HMMWV even with the SF97.
A question for all on the 17 digit VIN. Does the government own/assign these numbers or does the manufacturer?I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I dont have the exact answer to your question, but your local DMV has the ability to assign a VIN to your vehicle. Im sure each differs on what they consider justification for assigning one, but regardless, this new vin is nothing more than a unique identifier. No relation to the manufacturer that i know of.A question for all on the 17 digit VIN. Does the government own/assign these numbers or does the manufacturer?
.
Unless the military does it differently, the first few digits of the VIN are the country and manufacturer with more details in the chart below.
