So far through PM's and text messages, three guys have expressed interest and a couple more are tentative. This has the makings of a good MV get-together and vehicle show within a larger event.

I am waiting to get final details from the Marine Corps League (MCL). While the timeline has not been finalized yet, I believe the tournament will begin at 08:00 and vehicles may be requested to show-up at 07:00. There may be an option to stage vehicles the night before if someone is interested.

I spoke with the gentleman from the MCL this afternoon and will update everyone as soon as the timeline is finalized.

being 30 miles south of Houston makes it a little difficult to get up in that area in a 5 ton. wish there were more FMV's south of Houston so at least could have a couple of people to help each other out if something happens along the roadside.

It sounds like we need to do a meet & eat on the south side of town sometime... Bombshells?? I'm just saying....

Anyone going to Wings Over Houston in a couple weeks? If so, stop by and say hi. If your looking at the runway, I'll be at the far right end with United Armed Forces Museum next to 6th Calverty and the Nazi's. Eric

Hey Folks,

My name is Devin, and my deuce has been neglected over the past year and a half but i kicked it in gear this fall and Im about 2.5 weeks from having a display ready deuce. Its been a busy last 3 months.

- New Cunnifer brake lines (which was the initial problem that had her parked for so long)
- New Mrap Rims with used 395s mounted
- Serviced hubs , repacked bearings
- Hit all grease fittings (that i saw), everytime i get under the deuce i find another one i missed
- Replaced all wheel cylinders and made the switch to Dot 3
- Mrap seats installed
- Breathers installed for high water
- New slobber tube (didnt have one before)
- New E-brake shoe installed
- Cut out Rust spots and welded in new steel
- New Windshield panels
- New rubber rope all around
- New Cab weather seals
- New Axle boots
- Installed a muffler
- New pristine mushroom cap

Finishing the fresh paint job this weekend and next , installing 24v electric wipers, and LED headlights, LED turn signals, and LED tail lights.

I have officially reached the point of never selling the deuce ever. Between the cost of parts and the very sore mondays after a greuling weekends of wrench turning it is worth too much to me now. Those Tires are some back breakers.

I am eager to start showing her off.

- I have only met MIKE and JEFF at a Rodeo parade year before last up in Conroe. I live in Copperfield area (Hwy 6 and West Rd) but my deuce lives in Conroe.

Hi Devin! The progress on your truck is awesome! Can you make it to the golf tournament on November 10?

We'll have to plan some other get-togethers to show off your refurbished truck!

Meet & eat February 18, 2017

Who's hungry? It's been a long while since we've had a meet & eat in Montgomery, Texas, and this is a great time of year to get out and enjoy our hobby! Who is interested in meeting on Saturday, February 18 at the Pizza Shack? I have their party room already reserved for lunch at 11:30am. There is a large parking lot out front that is perfect for our trucks.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Simple meet & eat - We can gather at some point that morning and hang-out in the parking lot before lunch. Assuming no convoy, I would be there by 9:30am. This gives us a chance to swap stories, check-out the other trucks and buy/sell/trade parts if wanted. At 11:30, we can head inside for lunch. Although 'pizza' is in the restaurant's name, they have a full menu with great food! After lunch, you are free to hang-out longer or head home.

Convoy options - Last time we did this, a majority of the group met in Magnolia and convoyed to lunch in Montgomery. If a number of people are coming from the same direction, we could pick a central meeting point and convoy to Montgomery. Also, as another option, I could plan a convoy in the Montgomery area for that morning. We would pick a time to meet at the restaurant, leave from there for the convoy and then return for lunch.

Who is interested in coming and what are your thoughts about the convoy options?

Meet & Eat February 18, 2017

I've talked with a dozen or so guys about lunch next Saturday and am hoping for a good turn-out! No one has commented on the convoy. So it sounds like we will just hang-out and have lunch. I plan to be there at 9:30am Saturday, February 18. Lunch reservations are at 11:30am. See y'all there!

A military vehicle is optional. A good appetite is mandatory!

Bump for lunch this Saturday (February 18 )...

Based on current forecasts, we should have great weather!

So far, I've heard from roughly a dozen folks (8 trucks) that are planning to come out. Several more are still "maybes."

At first there was one....

Then, like all herd animals, a group formed...

The day turned out great! There was a good group of folks with seven awesome trucks. We could not have asked for better weather, and lunch at the Pizza Shack is always great.

To recap, we had the following trucks show-up:

> Bobbed 5-ton with a M916 engine
> A 5-ton crew cab that still has 3 axles (it was a M931)
> A M35 crew cab
> Two M35A2 cargo trucks (one with a M105 in tow)
> A M109 custom camper
> A M915
