You all would look funny when the Post Office calls you in to open the boxes! Federal crime Rusty! Having spent the night in a "Hotel" that only has door knobs on one side of the door, I can assure you, foods bad and you REALLY are not going to get to try your beer.

Easier just to come on over here and take a tour. I could show you were the best beer in the world is made. I cant mail enough to make it worth your while. And you need to drink more then one to really appreciate a beer's taste. And then you need to compare several different types of beer, to get the whole beer deal in perspective. Serious undertaking! I don't think you can trust the USPS with such a mighty undertaking.

I spoke with someone in Graf yesterday. He indeed had all the manuals and supporting documents. But sadly, doesn't feel he should help a G.D. civilian. Maybe he was having a bad day. I haven't given up, just need to find another Motor pool to get into!

Thanks for trying bud, I still don't have it powering anything. (not sure about the bonded neutral thing)
How is good old Grafenwoehr? My family lived just up the road from there in Leipzig. Please let us know if you are successful.

G.D. civilian eh?? Hmmmm....

Its cold as heck in Graf. This morning it was about -20 celsius. Clear skies, and simply beautiful. I live 100 klicks away. Last time there, the wild pigs had rooted, (again) the grass copter LZ on post, until it looked like the back side of the moon. The cold weather brings them out.

Yeah, the fact that I retired from the military, and had worked as a contractor for another 8 years, didn't impress this G.D. young SSG at all. I've spent the best part of 30 years working for the Army, so I am grossly offended when someone calls me a civilian. As a retired CWO, the gov can recall me up to the age of 65.

I was told that the darn thing did not have any TM's. Nothing but manufacturers manuals. I had all the manuals to fix it when I worked as a contractor. Gave them up when I stopped working. Not one of the manuals was from the military.

That's why I still have all my bus manuals. Will never work on one again, but someone down the road might need some information only the manuals provide. The transit agency sells the old buses after 17 to 20 years or a million miles (which happens more then you think) . They still have a lot of life left in them so "civilians" buy them all the time. They usually end up in Mexico.

Found 3 TO's online from an US Aerospace company.
I've emailed them and hopefully will have a response soon.

To answer the earlier question on fuel tank size.....(posted like wayyy back). We found the tanks in our units to be about 10'ish gallons. There is a gauge (surprisingly they work) and it hits F at 10 gallons. We kept going til it got to the neck, about another gallon went in.

These babies were put into service after a bad storm with high winds and a tornad'er went through a 200 unit trailer park (cant make this stuff up). They ran burning both lights and were down to 1/4 tank in the morning. This was before the fuel problems. After repairs we ran them during another disaster (flooded campground in the IL State Fairgrounds) and they ran using 1/2 tank for the same time duration. Not bad....

Other than the algae issue, what other fuel problems?
Any other issues?

These units are rare here.
I think GP has only sold about 12 or so total.
Light, plus a generator big enough to run a small house.
They are definitely a bargain.

Any additional info/pics would be great.

Never heard back from Kohler via email, so called them today.

Success!!!!!!

They sent me the manual for the engine/generator set in PDF format.
Specs/schematics/etc.
Covers engine, generator, and remote panel.

Cant figure out how to upload PDF file to the TM section.

Good to go!!

Don't give up on uploading. Take your time, its not something you do in 3 minutes. I need to upload some stuff tonight. Get a beer before you start. Works for me.

Persistence certainly pays off! However, when I bought a NF-2 (Onan CCK 2 cylinder opposed gas powered 2 Kw light unit). Search as I might, I was never able to come up with anything but a post card sized schematic that someone posted over at SmokeStak. It was hardly a legible schematic, I needed pin #'s for the panel and harness and they were all fuzzy. With a little guessing I did however manage to get engine running & producing electrical power and both lights lit before I gutted the unit and sold off engine/genset and panel as parts for what I paid ($300 for complete unit), so I got a free enclosure. I still have the lights and ballasts laying around for whatever... I was after was the enclosure so I could retrofit my MEP-002a into it, my thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?144001-MEP-002a-transplant-into-NF-2.

If I had found a NF-2D I would have kept it "as is" and used it for both power and light at my 2nd service entrance at shop and barn.

Anyway, great that you played detective and stayed on the trail and located the manuals PDF's and are making a contribution to SS by downloading them!

How do you get a PDF file from an email and post it to the TM upload section of this site?
Clearly I'm missing something and can't figure it out.
Help please!

Pictures.....no sweat.
Pdf file......never have uploaded one here before.

To upload to the TM section, an admin has to allow your account permission to do that.

To upload here on this post, Click "Go Advanced" button right bellow quick reply area. After that loads go to Additional Options, Attachments then Click Manage Attachments, upload to that area.
