Thank you guys for your fast help:smile:
Sadly there is no info regarding for the type of the correct batteries...

I will plan to have this truck shortened with the removal of the last axle and the bed.
BUT it can be easily return to stock specs as I will have the chassis rails marked and shortened with laser cut...I think this will be the first 255 shortened around ???

Jim

USSR , could you please take a look in the photo from the engine bay ?
It looks that a hose is missing in the left hand of the engine above the cylinderhead ???

Thank you,
Jim

I hope that you will be able to source some parts for my Kraz and for GAZ 66 as well ?
Also a recommendation on what oil to use in Kraz engine ???
Oil filter seems also a non match with something that is available here ?

Rgds,
Jim

Oils are universal, you just need to pick up analog, which you can buy in Greece.
Engine Oil - 32 liters in summer M-10V, Winter M-8V, multigrade M-6/10V;

Hmm just do some research and the multigrade M-6/10V is SAE 20w30 (!)
This oil maybe is suitable for the cold Ukraine and Russia but what about Greece as we have temps that exceed 40 degrees celsius ???

Also this thing take 4 batteries ???
