License Plate on your M1009

I just used an angle from an old aluminum diamond plate tool box, cut about a 3x3x6" section and drilled two holes in the cross brace tube, just ahead of the rear bumper. I used 1/4"x1.5" bolts and bolted the angle to the tube, then the plate to the angle with 1/4x1/2" bolts. The top of the angle is not as wide as the bottom, it sits between the shackle and the bumper brackets. The top of the tag is at the bottom of the bumper, the bottom of the tag is higher than the fuel tank skid plate, but I still bend the tag once in a while. Glen

I used two pieces of channel screwed into the inside cover of the tailgate with the center of each being lined up with the holes in the license plate, then bolted the plate to the pieces of channel. It is up out of the way for off-road use, and is inside the vehicle where it can't be tampered with, and is still visible to any LEOs who might be behind me. It also will not be picked up by one of those traffic cams -hint.

I used a trailer license mount. Ran the wire to feed off the taillight so it came on with the headlights. Works good and looks way better than on the tailgate imo.
