Yes, they are legal now to import to the US!
I'm extremely chuffed to know that one of the beloved (ok, hated with fiery passion) Land Rover Snatch 1.5 vehicles is soon on it's way to The Compound outside of Seattle.

Seriously....who doesn't need an armoured Land Rover?

Biggest question now is whether to leave it in Basra desert spec or return it to the way it looked in Northern Ireland.
