1) Verify the two fuses on the VR are both good to be sure the Input and Output fuses are OK.
2) Start the generator and verify you get about 120 volts AC at the outlet with S1 is in START. This verifies if your set is Flashing AND it's generating the expected voltage.
3) Start the generator and verify you get about 120 volts AC across K5-1 and K5-6 with S1 is in START. (Where the replacement VR wires are connected). This verifies that the voltage sensed by the VR is correct and that the wires are hooked up correctly.
4) With the genset running and S1 in Prime/Run verify you get about 24 volts DC across M7-I terminal and K15 terminal 3. (Where the replacement VR wires are connected). This verifies that the VR enable signal is getting sent to the VR.
5) With the genset running and S1 in Prime/Run verify you get about 120 volts AC across K5-1 and K5-6. (Where the replacement VR wires are connected). This verifies if the voltage dropped after Flashing.

fuses on vr check good. in crank posistion i get 120v at outlet. In crank position i get 120v on k5-1 to k5-6. With unit running i get 24vdc on m7-1 -k15-3. I pulled the relay to show the connection. Replaced it for test. With unit running i get 78vac on k5-1 -k5-6. Same voltage it get at outlet and tbi board also at L1 L2 and L3.
