I didn't think of that either, my GPS shows me going 58 when the needle is on 55. I have just a hair under 35" tires.Zinlu said:Well that makes me feel silly. I hadn't even thought of the odometer changing. I run 285's also, how much did it change your speedo readings, CCatlett? The one time I was able to check it was approximately 2-3 mph faster than what the speedo showed.
I guess that would add up during the course of running a tank of fuel out. I'm not real good with math, but since the speedo is reading slow, that means there would be less miles than actual on the odometer as well, right? Meaning I am getting more mpg than the figures show just using the odometer/gallons filled at each tank? I get anywhere from 10-15 mpg using those figures.
I would think that 35's would put the speedo off more than 3mph.
so maybe I'm getting better mileage.
