M1008 Rear disc Brakes

The rear load-leveling proportioning valve will have no effect on rear disc brakes, assuming the valve is adjusted properly. For proper valve adjustment see post #75 in my rebuild thread.

This is a great thread. Thanks for posting the links and information. I am curious though. How are you guys who have done this handling the e-brake?

I plan on doing the disk brake conversion to the truck sometime down the road, but this is one thing I've been curious about.

Speddmon - You have to use calipers from a 1977 El Dorado Cadillac which have emergency brake capability. I explained this in my thread http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?52121-Rear-Disc-Brakes&highlight=rear+disc+brakes
