Took the M1009 and my newly acquired Pioneer tool trailer on a camping trip to St Augustine Florida from Lakeland Florida. The 1009 pulled the trailer with ease. I even think I felt the brakes working on the trailer. I saw a couple of five tons in Eustis for sale but did not get pics of them, maybe on the way home. I saw some more between Palatka and St Augustine, got pics of them! Got settled in to the camp sight just before it started spitting rain. Not hard rain but enough to be annoying. My Whytner refrigerator stayed close to freezing with out power for the three hour ride up. Camp has electric service so it keeps everything dry and cold with out ice. Even when I lock the trailer when we leave camp. We are here all week. Going driving on the beach sometime this week.uploadfromtaptalk1395714269637.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714294257.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714324125.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714364828.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714393420.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714431918.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714453013.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714475637.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714567891.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395714646318.jpg

Adaptive re-use looks great. Do you have enough room for everything in the trailer?

Yes and no. I had some more vertical room but no shelving to put stuff on. It did load okay though. The fridge fits in the back doors just right. I need to remove all the brackets and those reel mounts. I need two more jerry can mounts for the front to put water cans in. Maybe some struts for those heavy doors!

A little math and a scale can probably net you with some gas props to assist. The passenger side would be well suited for either shelf or maybe cabinet space. Guess you will have to choose between field desk or fridge eh?

Their picky eaters nowadays! I know the little one loves scrambled eggs. We're still camping has I type! Getting ready to fix eggs, sausage and biscuits.

Saw this right across from the campground entrance at the alligator farm. I've never seen a mirror put together like that. It must be really stable. An A3 bed on it too. The trailer has a current tag on it also.uploadfromtaptalk1395955170470.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395955191723.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395955212764.jpg

Phil when you figure which struts work let me know, mine came without the hold up's, former owner removed them plus removed the rear doors and replaced with a solid sheet of steel.

I was looking for one of those pioneer trailers when I bought the shorter older version sight unseen. The idea was to convert it into a camper. I'm just too durn tall and had to sell it. You could mount a roof top tent on the one you have because of the top is flat. Hello Phil.

Nice setup you have there - I'd love to get a couple pioneer tool trailers sometime in the future. Fix one up as a camping trailer, and restore and refit the other as originally issued. They are very useful trailers and it looks great behind a CUCV.
