M1009 charging issues

The order in which to check the components in the circuit helped me. 10amp fuse at the bottom of the fuse block. Then bulb, socket, and circuit board. Then the relay. Then the diode. You may already know all of that but knowing the order helps

I had Gen 2 issues forever. I replaced the fusible link going to Gen 2,
swapped Gen 1 & 2, the problem followed the alternator. Replaced
Gen 1 with the Caddy alt from Autozone. I got 29 volts under the hood
now and everything is different, stuff works now that I had kind of written
off. The fuel gauge is even more active. That being said, it will probably
quit completely when I drive it next time.
