M109 towing a trailer: stock, bobbed or singled?

I'm building an M109 camper conversion, and one of the things I'm trying to figure out is what I should do for wheels and tires. I'll be towing a 16-18ft enclosed trailer (stretched M353 trailer with an aluminum box) full of dirt bikes and junk. I'm going to be living and working out of this vehicle and trailer, so I'll be hauling a pretty good sized load. BUT, I'm also going to be setting up camp in some pretty remote areas, so I'm trying to strike a balance between on/off-road performance. I'd just like to make the Deuce a little more maneuverable (because I won't always be towing a trailer) without giving up anything when it comes to payload/towing. Possible? The way I see it, I could:

1) Ditch the front axle and leave the rear axle set-up as a dually.

2) Keep both rear axles and install a set of super-singles.

3) Leave it stock. Good enough as-is. Probably true.

Best options for tires in each case?

It is hard for me to say what you will encounter on your trips.
Depending on your budget super singles are always nice.
but if you can afford them or you just want to stay with the duals get different tires then the non directional ones. They are not very good in mud, snow, ice or anything else.

If you pull out the inner axle that might be more of a hassle then the returns are worth

#2 Mod 3 , 1100 20's singled, lockouts on front and mid axle,
I think this is the route I'm going to end up going, but I'm not sure whether I want to run those 11.00R20's singled in the rear. I don't like the narrower track. Seems like it wouldn't be quite as stable as a wider truck and it looks a little goofy. Does anyone run single those by just removing the inner wheels/tires?

Part of me still wants to put some BIG meats on there. 15.5s would be rad, but I don't know if mah deuce could even pull 'em. The truck weighs 16,000lbs empty and my trailer weighs another 3,750lbs (empty), so I'm going to be well over 20,000lbs when it's all loaded. Anybody running 15.5's pulling that kind of weight?
