M1114 Slantback Roof Brace Backwards Compatibility

I've been looking around for a the tube that mounts to the sponsons that supports the ring for a slantback, but I can't find any of the old style tubes, does anyone know if the m1114 tube will work in a slantback upgrade for a m998?

Or does anyone know where to get the older tube?
