Well, its not a tractor, but I ran my M342A2 all the way to Aberdeen and back (1170 miles) without front or rear mudflaps and haven't been stopped. I hate the way mudflaps look - kinda' like having a skirt on your truck.
My compressor truck does not have mudflaps either, and never did. My position is that it is licensed as an antique, and as such does not have to have any equipment it did not have when it was new.
But, I also rarely drive it in the rain - I know it would be a pain for those behind and besde me.
