M915A1 Detroit Lockers?

The locker is not what one would typically think but an inter-axle differential lock. My M915A1 is a 2006 rebuild with the same stickers and I can confirm there are no lockers in the axles, just what is said below;


The 915 has a power divider that can be engaged when on slippery surfaces...it is engaged with a small lever in the cab...basically makes all wheels on the rear axles pull....not for high speed travel.

I've had the differentials out of 2 different M915s. They do have a Detroit locker in the forward rear and an open diff in the rear rear and also have an air actuated inter axle differential lock. I've seen broken axle shafts and broken lockers.
