MASSIVE oil leak

Oil Leak, motor to IP line

As the title states, I have a massive oil leak from somewhere behind the IP. I was tring to fix a fuel issue, and while I had it running, decided to make a 5 mile round trip. I havent seen any oil, other than alittle leaking around the base of the oil filter canisters, leaking. I always check the oil level b4 I start tinkering and running the engine....it was good.
I took off down the roan and got about 3 miles away, and noticed I was looseing oil psi.... got her home, and saw the trail of oil down the drive and the puddle she had leaked. After pressure washing the engine, I decided to change oil and filters, and start looking for the leak. Lost all oil with the exception of 1 gallon. I had my GF start the truck while I watched, as soon as it fires, oil spews out from somewhere behind the IP. It only leaks when its running, and leaks so bad, I cant see it for the oil bath I'm taking..... any ideas?

Have her crank it with the engine stop pulled all the way out while you look. It should make it a little easier to find the leak without a face full of oil.2cents

My quess would be the oil line between the block and IP. I plan on replacing mine in the very near future. And when I make them I make them longer so it's less of a pain to deal with. Maybe while westy is out playing with sand I should start making and selling them.

Pretty sure atvcat makes them.

I had a line made locally of braided stainless steel, and use swivels on both ends.

Ok guys, I still cant read your replys, but I can go to the printer mode and read them. I found the oil line from the IP to the engine with a hole in it....getting ready to head out and have one made. Appreciate all the replys!

Gonna yank the other line off and have it made also...may as well change both, and avoid a future failure

Can somebody who has done it post some tips for replacing both lines? I was told that you can do it with the IP in place. Do you need a soldier B? Can you get to the 90 degree fitting on the block to tighten the hose connection there?

Pics would of course be awesome! None of the other threads has install pics.

It's a tight space and I think I had to work the fitting on the block from the top (remove the side engine compartment panel) and the rest from beneath. Can't recall all the details, it's been a while. It would help to have a soldier B especially if he or she has small hands.
