Mep 802a keeps dropping out ac power at lugs only

I set unit with hand held meter under load set to single phase 120/240 and getting power on L1 and L3

S6 isn't your primary issue, if you have current on L2. Start there

Nothing on L2 have to leave s6 on it or i get the short circut light

What happens when you set S6 to the 3 o'clock position and then start the set.
Does it still trip OL or SC?

This is an interesting question, and the answer even more so.

If i leave it in 3 oclock, Gauge's work. flip switch to closed loads, will come on if there is a change on load; i.e. add or remove unit trips on short circut or if i turn s6 it will trip on short circut. if i leave s6 in 9 oclock, unit will run normal loads on and off with no short circut
