More Filter Questions?

After spending several hours searching old posts and seeing all the discussion on oil filters for the deuce/multifuel, it is obvious that many have problems with the filter set up. The specific problem that I have encountered, since the temps have dropped below freezing, is the front filter now leaks about a quart until the engine has run for a minute and then seems to seal itself up. Is this one of the common problems?

I don't think so... If the bolt is not loose then you've got a bad gasket or cracked filter canister or housing.

Ditto... New gasket and/or canaster...

A hint when installing the canister, don't twist it, just apply pressure to it. The twisting motion will upset the gasket and cause a leak.
