Exterior box section: 16 1/2"

Interior box section: 14"

I have an A2, not an A2C, so no slats/drop sides, and mine came without bows or cover, but I hope this helps some.

Edit: my data plate has a height clearance of 13 feet 2 inches, I'm assuming that's the cargo cover height, hopefully someone with a cover installed can confirm

Do we need the cut outs in the rims, or are they ok like I have them?
.
Well... I think they look just fine as you built them.
It would be neat if you could cut out holes in the rims - but that will take a lot of time.

Honestly, I am not sure the time would be worth the effort...

What drill bit size would you use for cut outs? Trying to wrap my head around what scale size you're working with. The cut-outs are oval so does a guy use 2 drill bits, hit the center hole with a 1/8" then oval the corners?

It's so inspirational and interesting jumping in here to see what you've got done. Thanks so much for sharing.

I could drill a hole and then use a Dremel tool to enlarge and shape holes. I don't think i will cut the holes in the rims at this point With all the details i am adding to the model the wheels are fine as is.
