They are for more air circulation when you have the foul weather covers on the sides. They push the bottom of the cover away from the walkway so air comes in low and goes out the roof vents, sets up natural cooling.

View attachment 487882View attachment 487881View attachment 487883One more question for the MKT God's:not worthy:. What/where do these go? The TM say they are "Strut Fabric Holdout Assy". I don't see where or how they work.
Jasonjc,
The solid poles with the pointed ends, insert into the sidewalkways. The larger end goes inside the holes, 4 on each side. The pointed end faces out and the screens or walls attach and allow air to move through the trailer. Picture of my screens set up in this manner. Hope this helps.

Cool thanks for the info and pic's. Come pay day I'm ordering hard copy TM's. They are a lot easyer to flip thought. I'm also getting the thumb drive from SSG.

From been there done that school of education, use nylon straps between top hardware and catwalk edge were GI tent poles go in, because wind will pick up tent canvas awning and tent poles will lift out of catwalk holes and you have a mess if you are not using sides. Mark

That might qualify you for designation as a battalion.

Or am I wrong, should it be regiment?!

And the burners are the latest V3 type (wider range of heat output, from 11000 BTU/hr up to 60500 BTU/hr vs 20000 to 55000 BTU/hr on the older models).

I rigged up a power cord yesterday and check my mbu's. I checked one of the 2 I got from MWMULES, it had like 2 hr on it. It fired up on the 2nd or 3rd try, been sitting for a long time. The other ones I got saterday , the better one had 26hr the other 3 all had around 425hr on them and look well used. I try to get one of them started, took a lot of pushing of the start button to even get it to try to lite. The button mite be going bad. It took 4-5 trys to start but it did and ran fine. Still need to try the other 3 of those and the other one from Mules.

So know I need to figure out how to cook with this thing in time for the KAMO rally:razz:

Some thing else I just thought of, my M149A2 has a 1" quick cupler on it that the TM says ,I think I read that, is for a MKT. But I have not seen in the MKT TM's any thing about hooking it to a M149a2. Does it, one the newer one maybe?
