If your oil pan gets heated, the oil in it will get heated. That warm oil will heat the whole inside of the engine. The pan gasket does not factor in to this in any way.

swbradley1 is the only one I've seen have issues them.

That's just my luck, to walk into the barn and see smoke trails going up the oil pan on the Deuce when that thing melted its guts out. Twice.
