For those of you running 12/24 bolt rims without bead locks or run flats, what PSI are you running?
I’m at about 45PSI out of fear of losing the bead, but maybe it’s too high?
Id love to hear your thoughts!
If it were mine I wouldn't worry about anything over 20psi. That is a lot of force on the tire bead/rim.
Even at lower pressure, you aren't just going to lose the tire off the rim without some major outside force. If you aren't always driving onto curbs or major potholes at high speed, then anything over 20psi should be fine.
20 PSI at the lowest (off-road -- fields, dirt roads, etc..).. I usually run at 25-30 PSI.
I don't think I'd run lower then 20 PSI, except by accident.. but I would also expect down to 15 would hold up in light conditions.. but I wouldn't chance it.
