Ol Diggy Dog and I rolled on down to the beach just to check out the crowd, Diggy Dog had a great time barking at just about everyone and whining at just about every dog she saw.
We did not see any Humvee's or any other military vehicles but did spot this resto-mod Willys Woody which was pretty cool.
Our visit was cut short because it started to rain (GEEZ) and I do not want to be driving down a wet salt water beach, been there done that 50 years ago in my 57 Nomad on the same beach, big mistake!

Today was the annual Saints Car Club Cruz car show. I only found out about it a couple days ago so decided to pack a lawn chair and run the M1165 out there. It's a big show, lots of classics - almost 600 cars turned out.

What a great number for the HMMWV!

If you get a dot on the headlight, it means you're getting an award. I'd planned to leave early due to the heat but decided to stick around and see what award they might have for me.

Ended up getting Best Military Vehicle for which, truth be told, there wasn't much competition. I saw an old Dodge mil vehicle and the County Sheriff's armored vehicle, so I was almost the only one in the show.

This one was a HMMWV at one time, but he's modified it so much the judges might not have known.
