Some more updates. Got the turret support mounted in. I'm using the folding windshield so it has no provision for the turret. So I used 5/16 rivet nuts. Man, what a pain without the tool. At least with the stainless steel hardware I used. I'm going to re-torque them down once more before I hang the roof on it. I'll also be using them for the roof mounts since they're steel. And I need to put the roof on to get an idea of where to mount the mounts. Then another torque down once everything is in place. (And re-checks after I'm driving it) I really should have bought the tool to do this. If they were aluminum/bronze it would have been a breeze with my two wrenches and a grinder wheel spanner method. But I wanted something stronger and I didn't want steel that would corrode. Once the weather starts being a little better, I'm going to paint the inside of the roof green in prep for install along with the brackets. I've decided as well that there's going to be one civilian accessory added. A backup camera.
You used stainless riv nuts? Are you worried about the bimetallic corrosion between the stainless and aluminum? I used stainless riv nuts for my sun visors and now I'm thinking it might have not been such a good idea since I've read about the galvanic corrosion.

Looks good! Really interested to see the turbo set up you put on it. Are you going with a factory style setup or an aftermarket style? Also what are your plans for sound deadening? I have been experimenting lately with this and can give you some info on what I have found to be the best vs cheapest sound and heat insulation.
Haven't turboed it yet. It'll be a aftermarket setup. Probably mat style sound deadening.

I put a dab of antiseize on them as well. But the ratio of dissimilar metals plays a role in it. A SS fastener in aluminum is less likely to have issues than a aluminum fastener in SS. Since there's ports to get a straw on the inside, I will spray the inside as well to prevent issues.

I have done two things: dabbed holes with a little silicon sealant and used a plastic washer so the face doesn't contact the nut. Seems to do the trick even with Zinc-plated bolts. For sound deadening, I used stall mats. I'm amazed at how much the noise level went down. I used elevator bolts to hold the matts down to the bed. (they were zinc-plated.)

Rain has put a damper on me achiving much of anything this weekend. And I have a huge go live at work starting next weekend. So it'll likely be March before this gets completed. But I'll try to tinker as I can on it. I picked up a prototype C pillar from blackdogcustoms.com (mjvaden) here on the forum. He's going to have these for purchase very soon. And very reasonably priced. I also managed to prime and paint the "insides" of all the panels this weekend. So at least I'm at a point where I can start putting parts on and bolting them down. I did manage to get the drivers side sponson in place and holes drilled to mount it completely. I also added a small section of weatherstripping between the panels to seal the wind/rain out of it.

Got to do a little more work this afternoon on it. Roof is on, I need to shim a few things here and there. But it's starting to come back together. The weather should allow me to get the turret on tomorrow and maybe get the doors back on for a drive. I need to also throw the hatch on it.

Got the doors and hatch on. Still need to paint some parts and install the rear hatch. But it's almost ready to test drive. Then a good high pressure bath. Then tear down for paint.

I got a few more things done to it this weekend. I still need to wash it down and clean out all the aluminum chips and junk in the cab. But the top is on. Ready to tear down and paint everything.

Forgot to post this the other day. All of the turret stuff works. Weather has been kinda crazy lately. But hopefully I can start taking it apart to paint it this week.IMG_20180331_182945_771.jpg

My youngest son got to dispense some candy today from the turret. He loved it. Also hung out with @wgtactical last night in town for dinner.FB_IMG_1526766596348.jpgFB_IMG_1526766574686.jpg20180519_112054.jpgIMG_20180518_231207_718.jpgIMG_20180518_192715_759.jpg
