Didn't mean to make it sound so crud so my apologies.

What seemed to be bragging or showing off was not the intent as well. Just being able to show what could be done different in another way for folks like myself who want something nice but neither have the money or time to put into it - and still enjoy our MV's quickly without laying around for years attempting to work at them.

I know for sure its not the only way to work on them or get them done and may see worthless to some ?? Its just my way of getting something back up and operational in a short period of time (not counting just how dang fast I am).
There has been enough projects thrown out there to let you know one was just not a fluke and it happened to work out - enough variety thown in as well - some with just more expensive products thrown into them as well and what products were used. They are as well not the only product out there.

I was also taught something I would have never believed by other folks here as well - BEHR PAINT - who would have thought but I started out to give it the best shot I could for myself and it works - more options and I love that & that is why the 37 is going into Behr Marquee Paint when the time comes - hang in there - I am not done with it yet.

I've enjoyed watching your work. Since I can't seem to get time to work on my own truck I've been able to live through watching your work and your post. Keep up the good work! Joe

Same here - I can't even find the time to restore my little ol' m100, but you are starting to inspire me Zout! Maybe I can get it done before the rally. Of course, I need to rebuild the engine in the m38a1 before the rally too

Will - my past and always will be Friend TIGGER stated the same thing - he dug his jeep out after watching some of my stuff and just did what he had to do to get it to the GA rally to have fun in it - and he did. It did not matter how cool or restored it looked - my friend got it running to have fun in it - If you saw the pics of it buried in the mud pit - will tell you the SMILE he had on his face he got it running and could bring it - THAT is what Is all about. Just do it and forget about what everyone else thinks - its YOURS.

NOW - that I am back off from slacking for the weekend and BEFORE Heading to the Gun Truck Gathering this next weekend - I bought some sheets of 30 grit da sandpaper to finish cutting down the hood - drivers fender and whatever on the box. Then into bare metal primer 2k.

Sandblast the box which will take a night on the outside - one night for the inside - and into bare metal primer.

BY MONDAY and not later than TUESDAY this week this owner needs to give me the paint code numbers sent that I need to get it into as I will be ready = otherwise the M909 comes down to the garage and I start working on the trailer hitch - and when I get down with that I might be able to get back onto the 37- ZOUT waits for no one.

I need paint codes by Tuesday no later to go get paint from the owner. Get up to Commander Warp Speed.

Yup - sure look like paint codes to me. Checked with Home Depot and they said non of their mixing machines are capable of mixing Navy Paint - they did offer up a nicer selection: Army - Air Force - Coast Guard - Marine (blue sure is pretty)

Given the current "don't ask, don't tell" + policy in the Armed Forces, I think a nice pastel, or maybe pink color would look very nice. You could put some cute lil eyelashes on the headlights as well!:naner:

Oh well I think the dark grey should be semi gloss too, would that look better with the semi gloss body?

I don't know. I'm not good with making things look good. Everyone that hs seen any of my trucks (or me for that matter) knows that!

Angie says if I don't get it painted pink, grey, and dark pink camo like that deuce that has been on here, then she will leave me.. I told her I would miss her.

No, bad people. This will be a Navy M37, the only one who has to like it is me.
