Shut the engine off then turn off master. I do it the same way on my M813 for practice.

Bottom switch first, then top.

Opposite for starting. Top switch first then bottom.

Think of it this way - supply power to the system, then start the motor. Shut off the motor, then power down the system.

Hopefully you don't let the magic smoke out of the black box the first time you forget and hit the battery switch first...If it happens it make some weird noises so don't let it throw ya...
