Question about windshield gaskets

I went out and spent big bucks on a new windshield gasket. When UPS finally got it here I see it's not the same as the one that was on the windshield. There is no corner molded in to the gasket like the picture below. It looks like the profile is the same just no molded corner. So my question is will the one with the corner seal better than the one without? I have been looking at pictures of LMTV windshields and it seem over half the ones I looked at have the molded corner. Any thoughts on this?

Not sure Ill be much help, but my gaskets do not have that profile in the corner either. I have an LVAD, so it may be different style.

Tax and shipping was 355 bucks (USD). I got it from SECO... I will not buy from them again. Their website said it was 312 plus shipping but they charged me 318..00 plus tax and shipping. They have an ebay listing for 322.00 plus like 19.00 shipping and tax.

I should have just used the old one. There are a couple of tears in the old gasket that I fixed. I just don't want any leaks as i did some rust repair along the window opening.

I guess you can get them over in Europe From Styer but I could not find anyplace to get them.

I have the steyr part number. Just as expensive though. I have been hunting for a generic. Has to be something out there. I can get the windshields from the manufacturer cheap.

The only benefit I can see with the molded corners is it allows the outer/surface lip seal to lay out a little flatter against the skin on the lower corners. Probably not a big deal... as there are several lip seals that contact the body down in the window recess/opening...

keep your windshield gasket treated with ATP 205 for future changes.
