After losing 5th gear in my Deuce, I'm replacing my transmissiion with a T/O unit., a Wolverhampton transmission I picked up from TWRIGHT. I decided to go ahead and replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing at the same time. The question I have is should I go ahead and replace the rear engine seal and pilot bearing at the same time? I currently have zero leaks of any kind on this truck. I usually follow the adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but in this case I'm not sure. It's a lot of work to get to the seal later if needed.
