Sat 11/11/17 Downtown Orlando FL: Orlando Veterans Day Parade

Please join me for the Orlando Veterans Day Parade on Saturday November 11, 2017. The parade is televised live on Bright House News Channel 13. The parade starts at 11 AM. Last year, the parade began at the corner of Orange Ave and Robinson Street. I assume the starting location will be the same this year. Our lineup location and number are unknown at this time. The Parade Staging Area opens at 8 AM. I will provide more details as I receive them. I will post a new map on this thread if I receive one.

Following the parade, we will convoy to Ace Orlando for lunch and car show.

Here are the details about our entry and meetup location.
MEETUP LOCATION CHANGE: (See Post # 15)
WE WILL MEET AT ACE CAFE ORLANDO
- 100 W. Livingston Street

- We only have to go one block to line up. They also have room for trailers if you tow your vehicle in.
- Please arrive at Ace Orlando by 9:30 AM.
- I will distribute the vehicle permits at our meetup location. You must display the vehicle permit in order to receive entry to the parade staging area.
- We will leave the parking lot at 10 AM and convoy to the staging area. I don’t know what our lineup number or location at this time. I will post this information as soon as I get it.
- Upon immediate departure of our meetup location, we will line up our vehicles in the order we want them to appear in the parade. When we arrive at the staging area, we will pull to the right of the road and park in that order.
- UPDATED: For those interested in lunch, we will convoy to Ace Cafe Orlando.

We will display our vehicles at the restaurant. Please see Post #9.
- Please RSVP on this thread or via PM with the make / model / M series designation of the MV that you’re driving or towing. Our large vehicles require additional staging and lineup space, and they need to know exactly how much space to set aside for our entry.
- Please let me know if you plan on going to Ace Cafe for lunch. The restaurant needs an accurate vehicle count.

I got an email from the Ace Cafe on Livingston Street, just 2 blocks from the Parade route. They asked if we could bring some Military Vehicles to their place for a salute to Veterans event right after the parade. They will give us a special place to park. They have great food too. Feel free to bring the M105 if you'd like. I'll let you decide. We have plenty of room in the lineup.

Anyone interested in displaying their MV at the Ace Cafe after the parade? It is a tribute for Veterans. Should also be 100+ classic cars there as well.

If the food is good, then let's move our lunch plans to Ace Cafe. Can you nail down the plans for that and let me know? I will update my first post with the change in lunch venue!!!

I just had a meeting at Ace Cafe. Great bunch of folks who own and run this automotive/motorcycle themed location. They want to make November 11 after the Orlando parade a really BIG event. They are giving us enough space for as many vehicles as we want. They would like to fill the parking lot with MV's! Plenty of room for 100+ vehicles. They also said we could use the space for pre-staging for the Orlando Parade so we only have to go one block to line up. They also have room for trailers if you tow your vehicle in. And you can't beat the food if you want something before and after the parade. There will be a live band and there is always a chance a celebrity will show up too. Even if you don't go in the parade, bring your MV to the Ace Cafe to be part of the First Annual Veterans Day Event at Ace Cafe in downtown Orlando. Easy to get to right off I4 and Livingston.
