As September 11, 2011 approaches, this marks the 10th Anniversary of another day that will live in Infamy. This definately was a day where each and every one of us knew where we were and what we were doing that day. There are many events planned throughtout the United States, as well as around the world, to bring rememberance to that day. I thought I'd start this thread for all who plan on attending an event with their MV's or simply themselves. I would like to know what everyone is doing to "outfit" their MV's for this day of remembrance.
Our local leadership is planning a Remebrance/Patriotic event at Stewart Field in Aberdeen, WA. They are having the USARNG Band coming down as well as other members of the local fire dept and police depts. Surprisingly they notified me that they don't plan on having my M35A2 included in the event as a static display. However they did request I show up in my Class A's. Well, they certainly cannot control what I can drive to the event. I DO plan on driving my '68 M35A2 to the event adorned with the proper Red, White, and Blue. I found it surprising that NONE of the leadership putting this event on ever served in the military. Nor have they served in public service.
