made some progress today on the humvee while I wait to parts for the PCB.

made my own glow plug puller for under 2 dollars.

might not be the prettiest but it worked I was able to remove the drive side front plug as shown. the second one back on the passenger side I made a longer pvc sleeve to clear the heat shield.

That’s exactly the way to do it brother.

well got her all put together today and tested it out works like a champ. still smoked some starting up the first time but I probably didn't hold it long enough.

this video isn't a cold start as I already had started it once.

I'll have to do some testing tomm morning and see if this fixed my smoking issues that I was originally having or not.

decided to test a glow plug right off the batteries so I could see exactly what was going on each second I held the button. For me at 4 secs the plugs starts to smoke and really fast it turns red by 5 seconds and that's where I stopped of course how fast a person counts is going to change this a little.

it's 49 degrees here this morning and I held the glow plug button a quick 5 seconds and it lit right off and there was almost no visible smoke exactly what you would want to see.

looks like this manual control was the fix for me, big thanks to TOBASH that wiring diagram saved me a bunch of time figuring things out.
