As well as anyone coming from east of the 77 in north Carolina.

Don't come thru the gorge. You are asking for it. Especially from black mountain.

Go the additional 13 miles. Go up 77 to 81 in Virginia and come back down.
I might come in my m936a2 if I can get it ready. But I live near us 64 in Brevard. We can take 64 most of the way there but it's all steep windy and narrow

Its not that bad of a drive. I've been across it a few times. I just seem to catch it when they are doing road work. 74 from Murphy on is mostly 4 lane.

Just gonna be a long day. Being in Brevard I would just go up to canton and get on 40. It's not that far thru the gorge there. Better than coming from hickory all the way to TN.

That's probably what I'll do if the trucks ready I just got it running this week after a long period of sitting before I bought it and drove it a few miles home
But 64 isn't bad at all in a civi vehicle I work around cashiers doing grading in the area

Ok guys, sorry this took so long. I am trying to get everything done I need to get done and I haven't even driven my truck in a month, let alone serviced it.

:ROFLMAO: but

Ok, so here's the basics:

There is a dedicated area we're taking for the event. Big flat field with nice gravel and a big awning for shade from sun, wind, rain.

Typically, Windrock doesn't have people staying at this area, as it's for events and they have separate camping and cabin/RV areas.

However, I've explained the unique nature of our event and they've been accommodating so far. I explained that many of our swap meet vendors camping rig is also their selling rig, plus a lot of vendors would like to stay close to their stuff, for obvious reasons.

Windrock has agreed to allow swap meet vendors to camp in the area. I have also explained that because the event sort of uses the swap meet as ground zero and then the vehicles on display and general socializing areas surround it. They have been willing to allow non-vendors to camp in the area, as long as any relevant camping fees are paid.

So I think this issue is handled.

I do want to make something clear:

This is our first year at a new facility and we're a weird event - most events are very traditional. We have vehicles on display, swap meet, someone's always working on a repair of some sort, etc. So this first year is going to be a steep learning curve. We're going to learn about how Windrock runs and they're gonna' learn how we run and hopefully everybody has a good time and we can return in 2023 and everyone will know how everything works.

But I do ask that everyone be patient with Windrock, as there are bound to be hiccups in our first year.

I think what Clint is saying is that they have been accommodating and nice so far and we don't expect a bipolar and batsh1t crazy attitude.
Lets be our normal respectful and great guests and I think we will be in great shape. Guess we will have to put away the flame thrower and magnesium this year :)

Clinto, will you ship shirts? (of course postage paid)
Absolutely.

I think the last time I shipped some shirts it was $9.20 for a flat rate envelope and I could get 2-3 shirts in one mailer.

A big announcement today:

Memphis Equipment has agreed to sponsor our event for 2022

Memphis' long term support of this event has been nothing short of amazing.

I hope all of you will throw them some business - without their help, we couldn't do this.
