As usual, I believe you are correct. The TM 9-2320-387-24P C05 reads on page 0135 00-1 as Item 9. but with knowing the serial number of the truck, we have to pick the next item below that. Hey P, you may benefit if you had the TM for this truck. I found a free copy here:

So I was incorrect, the ones I listed are for serial number 246XXX and below.

THANKS for the updated parts TM!!! the one I had did not list the 1152A1

So Pstyckiewicz your UOC for the M1152A1 is UUA, when you look up a part and it has the UOC codes listed under the part description that is the code to look for, if the part does not have any UOC codes listed under the parts description then it fits ever vehicle covered by that parts TM.
And I was incorrect as the late model serial number 246xxx and above use a different tie rod end than all the other HMMWVs
Never too old to learn..

Technically you were correct, then P. gave us his serial number... You are always so humble and hard on yourself.

I would have never found the TM/UOC without your previous mentoring and training... :clinto:

Any idea if the grease fitting is an indicator of what hand tie rod I have. Seen some pictures that the fittings are on the same side as each other.
I believe the grease fittings are purposely installed on the side that allows for greasing, and also not in the way of the other components near them. So they will be on opposing sides if installed correctly. That should allow you to see right away, I think the will be facing to the rear of the truck.

Just like your picture, here is an example of a correctly installed assembly:

Little note... Looking at the pictures of the old ones with the locking clamp (tie rod, out board location, next to wheel) might need to be rotated around to clear rubbing / hitting on lip of rim in a tight turn. (might) 🔧🛠 Thread post #2

Can't find my glasses to hear, CAMO 🙈🙉

For sure. The TM explains in detail how to position the clamps, including cautions to avoid damage to equipment. You are correct, good Sir.

Update…. Got a whole tie rod thing (new old stock) mooge problem solver off eBay for $120. Slapped it in there and problem solved. I can’t believe they would put the ends in wrong. I’m not sure how you could even do that haha. Drives nice a straight without any weird tire noise. Highway speeds of 75 are good as well.
