I would look for a new set of springs, or wait for another auction and start over, these trailers just arent expensive enough to put much work into them IMHO....

Ratch ,yes it did. I was able to remove the shocks today. Pretty simple to remove. I soaked the bolts down real good with some BPblaster a few times through the morning. Came right off. I jacked up the left side and meaured a difference or sag of 1 and 3/4 .Wow. Removing the springs will not be as fun. Anyone have any hints? I am thinking cutting..

A 3/4 impact gun, pb blaster and some heat.
Remember to replace the U bolts.

Are you sure one of the shackles didn't seize up? Could have been left loaded for a long time and rusted up.
