Hey I hope you guys dont think I'm some kind of wierd pervert, I'm not but when I saw these I fell out laughing. I couldn't believe people put these on their trucks, this is the first time to see this fad. Must be a Western or Cowboy thing?????

There's been sets of those swinging from a lot of trucks round here. Mostly the lifted ones. I never picked up a set myself as I couldn't handle looking under there one day and just seeing the string it was hanging from. Something about castration that crosses my mind and *shudder* that's not something I wish to see there one day and then gone the next!

Around here the kids with the lifted 4x4's like to put them on. My brother in law has suggested I put a pair of bowling balls in an old duffel bag to hang under my deuce. His opinion is that the deuce has the biggest pair in the county!

Personally I put these things in the same category as the "Redneck" and "Git'r Done" stickers and the wonderfully informative bumper stickers that proclaim such useful tidbits as "I hunt Curs" or "I hunt blueticks". This sort of redneck idiocy makes my teeth itch. No offense to country people, I love them, but drunken stupidity just doesn't have the same sort of cute fuzzy appeal to me as it does to some. Of course you have to understand that where I come from, I'm up to my ears in such foolishness and my county makes "Deliverance" look like "Sesame Street". Sorry for the rant...

I enjoyed Larry the Cable Guy when he first was being broadcast on the morning shows. Now, everytime I walk into a convience store I see him with the annoying phrase 'Git-R-Done.' Nice to see he's cashing in on a phrase which makes my skin crawl....

Lanty, you got my side splitting with laughter. Even here in suburban cuba we have the redneck contingent. I've been accused of being one but there ain't no way. The rebel flags in the back of the trucks here are so big the front tires of the trucks lift at highway speed. On that note I remember when I was a balls to the wall of roader. It was serious business to the group I hung out with and so serious we had an off road recovery business. I went out a few time here and the pastime of 4 wheelin has changes into the pastime of drinkin, screamin, banging heads and playing country music. The 4x4s just get them farther from the street.

Cool, I'm glad none of you took that the wrong way. Kenny, I know what you mean about the wheeling situation. We still have idiots around here who think that lift blocks on the front axle are ok, and all-thread rod makes great axle U-bolts. Slap on a Confederate Flag and some CB antennas and go! Gets sort of scary, and don't even get me started on some of the pulpwood trucks around here, lol. I build all my stuff on a budget and it normally takes me a year or two to get a project somewhere near done because of money issues, so I know what it's like to not have lots of cash to put into a truck. But most of these guys around here are more worried about room for the beer cooler than working brakes and seat belts. I'm all for a good time, but in recent years I have been increasingly disgusted with the carelessness and just flat out stupidity going on out on the trails. With rock crawling becoming so popular I keep seeing more and more guys trying to build off road rigs with limited skill and even less understanding of the physics involved. I'm no math whiz by any means, but I know what looks safe and strong and what looks like rolling death when I see it. Homemade 4 link setups and steering mods seem to be the scariest stuff out there. And they wonder why all the trails are getting closed and we have such strict lift laws.
Oh and I think the bowling ball idea is cool. While I don't like the "Truck Nutz" idea, something about taking an idea into absolute absurdity simply for the reason of mocking the original idea really appeals to me. In Tyler Durden's words, "They don't have the courage you have, to just run with it." Yeah, I'm a very bad person, lol. [^]

I agree with the idiot problem, they breed like flies. I think a little chlorine in the local gene pool would cure a few ills.

I have no problem doing a budget build, but I see some absolutely terrifying stuff on the roads around here. The pulpwood trucks look safer than some of the local 4wd's. You see them going down the road with all 4 bent wheels wobbling around, no brake lights or turn signals, enough red mud on the windshield to obscure all of the outside world, etc. You see them pulling up to a stop sign, hitting the brakes, and the truck tries to dive into the ditch because they only have 1 front brake working. I for one wish we had the vehicle inspections up here like we used to have in Fla. when I lived down there.

Oh well, I have ranted enough, back to Deuce stuff!!!

Ditto, ditto , ditto... we see all kinds out here from the glory guys rock crawling with $75k tube-frame spider rigs to kids who hacked up the sheet metal on their mom's old cherokee and lifted it with inverted lowrider blocks (argh). I agree with the truck nutz they have them here, in my opinion there sort of on the stupid side but thats my opinion. I have lived in these mountains all my life i really get a kick out of pple moving in from other area's and them trying to fit in, especially the younger crowd, those are the one's that bring the jeep cherokee that is jacked up and of course those were purchased by mommy and daddy, I have had to foot my own set of wheels from day one.
I love the bowling ball idea [] , I can't wait to get the deuce on the road here, i know of a few that will not be crowding me on these side country roads, not only do we have good pple move in but also the bad kind as well and im about ready to wage war on the bad :boxer: . I have enjoyed peace and tranquility here all my life and im not about to let it be disrupted.

CB antennas, big tires, no brake lights, mud on it, and a pair of rebel flags, and big balls on a truck, thats fine with me.
I have a CB antenna on the tool box, a pair of rebel flags on the head ache rack a pair of old Glory's on the brush guard, most of the time a little mud here and there, stickers in the back glass, a lead foot, and straight piped exhaust. The only thing missing is the bowling balls, and that's because some of the places I fish and hunt they would get ripped off.
This is on a cucv but still.

But yes I have seen the truck nutz on several trucks.
