voltage/amp meters on m1008

I have two digital voltage and amp meters they can each handle up to 30 volts and one of them is rated for 100 amps and the other is 200 amps. They use a shunt to wire up.

I'd like to use one for each alternator or battery. So I'd use on to track the 12 volt system and the other 24 volt system. But I'm not sure how to wire these up with the 2 alt. System.

Shunts would go on the charge wire for each alternator.

So I would run a wire from red wire to shunt then from shunt to the alt?

You have 2 12 volt alternators.

There is no 24 volt charging to monitor.

Wouldn't one meter show 24 volts though since they are wired in series?

Not if you want to monitor each battery and alternator separately(most accurately).

Fair enough. How would I wire it up to monitor each battery separately?

Did they come with instructions?

To be quite honest, the dash lights will tell you if they are not charging and the volt meter has a hash mark that is easy to reference as well.

That's true. I guess I like the idea of a number to look at instead of a tick mark.
