It's getting close to the end of the warm weather season and I am wanting to hit the many red plastic capped grease fittings found around the truck. I also just replaced a tore zipper seal on the front hub and most all of the grease was lost during the process(what a messy job!).

Is there a particular type of grease that can be found at tractor supply for this? Is the same grease used in the front hub okay for the many other grease points?

Thank you for any advice.

Any good quality grease is fine. I use tractor grease mixed with black molly slip. Never fails to keep things running smoothly. (matter of fact, my willys jeep has had that mix in the gearbox and tractor joints since 1970) no probs.

Some time ago an elder tried to edumacate me about grease.

He took a wipe of some of his stuff and he put it between his
thumb and index finger and began to open and close said.
He said WATCH the grease adhere to each finger...the longer
the strands of grease the better it is.

Right or wrong, it is what "I" heard.

The Kendall Super Blue 427 grease is available in all
the small sizes one would expect to find, case and
point, CLICK HERE
Thanks Artisan, being available in tubes is attractive to me as I'll be using the trusty hand pump grease gun. I think that drained axle boot is going to take a whole tube itself.

I notice the Kendal and the Lucas both are high load and high temperature rated.

In this forum, if you look up SCHUTT you will see the Self Loading 20' ISO
Shipping Container trailers some of use were lucky enough to take
possession of.

All of them were underwater at one time, we all needed new starters
and batteries and minor injector service +. After that to the best of
my knowledge all engines fired.

I dug deeper and found 12K Dexter Axle disc brake chrome bolts were
oxidizing. The mfg (Dexter) gave me new chromed disc brake slider bolts.
So now I needed proper grease. I went on a hunt.

After a LOT OF TO-DO I found the Kendall L-427 Super Blu Grease.

"I" am running w/ it everywhere.

Your mileage may vary...................

If I remember right, after I decided I wanted to go w/
Kendall L-427 Super Blu, now I went looking for it
for the cheapest price, and I kept coming back to
these folks, and indeed I did end up purchasing
from them.

With me an item is an item. I want that item as
described, nos or new, unadulterated, for the
cheapest price.

If I were wealthy I would step that up,
but I am not....

Full Disclosure; I am no shill, it is what it is.
read it and weep or go for the gusto.
