Finally found my starting issue. It was clicking a bunch before it would turn over. I cleaned every connection, had the starter solenoid rebuilt and replaced the relay. Turns out it was just the wire going to the relay. The insulation had cracked in a few spots and it corroded inside, so I just spliced in a new section of wire. Finally it turns over the first time I hit the button!

Clay...nice diagnosis. I've had a few wiring problems myself. It's a relief when you hear that engine fire up isn't it!

WB "C" turbo means you've got a whistler? I have one myself. Love the sound. Was the install easy? Did you buy it new or used? From whom if I may ask?

Yes I got a whistler turbo. The install was not too bad, I just had to scrounge up some parts that did not come with the "clean air" kit. I bought the turbo and clean air kit from Boyce Equipment. I REALLY look forward to buying from them again.

Finally got a little warmer, 30 degrees and windy, so fixed the M108's starter and fuel system. It's been down since Christmas. Used starter put in, cleaned/changed fuel filters, and topped them off with diesel. It finally starts and runs nice. Starter switch is shot thou.

Today the M35 got fired up, for the first time in months. Loaded scrap into it with the crane.

Really, it was not just this weekend.

The school bus mirrors were from the local self service junkyard. I got five, for when I break them. Two of the mirror photos are from the driver's seat.

The vice was a birthday gift from my wife.

The window had broken, the bolts hold it together

Deuce upgraded

First off this is sone in the last few weeks. I replaced both windshields and new weather seals. Fixed my rotted out J pipe with two 90 degree exhaust pipes. Tightened up my compressor belt using an air hammer and a nicely rounded chisel head as not to damage the pulley. Worked great and took about 3 minutes total job. Gutted the interior, seats and all. Scuffed the floor and dash. Rhino lined both. Installed all new dataplates. Then sealed up all the holes with some high strength adhesive and pieces of thin sheet aluminum. (Old for sale sign and tin snips) Installed 80mm zillamat/ noise deadner from just under the dash (firewall) across the floor and all the way up behind the seat stopping right where my hardtop bolts on. I filled in the hollow cross bracing with Great Stuff expanding foam. Then I went to walmart and covered the floorboard and firewall with black polypropylene carpet. It was cheap. I tell you the noise difference is unbelievable. Not to mention the heat reduction. I also experimented with the exhaust stack outlet. I found that directing the outlet straight out to the right and not pointing it rearward at all made a HUGE difference. Also installed a Pyle 24-12v convertor for 15 bucks from
govgroup.org Which is a great site for cheap or high quality products. Then installed a marine grade 12v power port. Just bought marine grade am/fm MP3 radio (
http://www.govgroup.com/pyle-audio-...player-2485707-prd1.htm?pSearchQueryId=775135) these speakers Bought these speakers (http://www.govgroup.com/boss-mr60w-marine-speaker-1016467-prd1.htm?pSearchQueryId=798 and 2 of these woofers http://www.govgroup.com/pyle-plmrw8-marine-woofer-1018120-prd1.htm?pSearchQueryId=798756 No it's not high quality stuff but I'm fine with that for the Deuce.
I will post pics after all the fabs are complete. I want to pull the doors off and wiggle in some zillamat. Also installed a 4" suspension lift. looking for 54's and wheels presently. Oh yeah and a led dome light. Headed to the boneyard tomorrow to buy a few brand new school bus seats with seatbelts to install in the bed. The bus rolled over in an accident. Also looking for a tan cargo cover with bows that I can cut down to fit my bobber bed.

This week? New rear main seal and clutch. Fixed a bunch of leaks. Painted the removable floor panels since they were out. Hoping for new front tires next week.

This week.. Nothing much.
Rewound the winch, because it was one big knot. Tried to repair a fuel leak. After repair, it ran with no leaks for 15 minutes.
Next day went to inspection/MOT. Failed because of the fuel leak (yes it started again) a bad steering rod connection and minor cuts in 4 tires.
I swapped 2 tires and called a specialist for the other repairs.

The other day i mixed some fuel and overfilled the jerrycan..
Lot of fuel on the ground, bad smell.. Lets put it on fire, to get rid of it.. Not a great idea, I can tell you.
After putting out the bonfire i started, i cleaned up the spill with paper and burned that in an old frying pan.
I had a lot of Fun, but when it started to smoke bad, i decided to do what is right and put it out.

This weekend is finish off the 12 volt setup into the box. (Erdlator box)
Got to get a belt for the 12v alternator.
Fixing a small leak.
New cab roof, canvas is shot.

Last weekend we did the alternators, wired in all the lights on the box to be running lights too. Its 29 outside right now which kind of sucks, but it is what it is.
