Roger that, mine rubbed through and caused that "ticking" and needle jumping. I use my tom tom for speed and time as I have 285s and OD trans. My speedo was off by 30 mph. I wonder how accurate that GPS really is.

Hi guys,

About all I did so far is repaint my jerry can bracket OD green,
and got a USMC Jerry can for it.

Now, I just need a seal for the cap, and nozzle.
Anyone know where I can get one?

Here is a photo, since you guys like photos so much.

Enjoy...

re: What have you done to your CUCV today/lately?

Hi guys,

Oh yeah, almost forgot..

I needed a new center console, to replace the one I had.

And since I could not find one from the salvage yard,
or a 20mm Ammo can.

I used a military nightvision equipment can,
which is smaller than a 20mm ammo can,
but still large enough to put much into, and suit my needs.

If I ever find a 20mm ammo can, I may upgrade for the
additional space.

Now I just got to figure out what to do for a pair of cupholders.
Perhaps I will make something. Or, Hmmm, any ideas guys?

But here is a photo:
Here is a new photo of my Nightvision can console taken today,
notice a difference from the one taken yesterday?

I re-installed the back bench seat along with my newly painted spare tire holder and gerry can holder. I also installed the combo pintle hitch that I bought. It got too dark before I could take some pictures. I'll take them tomorrow and post them. I also ordered 8 Bosch Duraterm glow plugs and bought the relay for the doghead relay mod :) I still have quite a bit left to do.

I did a search for the Doghead relay upgrade. I went to Napa and paid $14.00 for the part. The box said it was for a lawn mower. Easy install I would think an hour tops.
The 1st pic is from the site, 2 is stock relay, 3 Site pic & new relay, 4 complete job.

I should be a detective!!! My son as the same doll!!!
Ryan,

Perhaps you should be. Good observation.

I rescued Scooby from the freeway one day long ago.
And since I am a dog person, and I have always liked scooby,
I had to stop and save him. LOL.. And he has been there ever since.

Jeffhuey,

Thank you for the words.
Yes, he had to be saved, I could not just leave him there on the freeway, would you?
I would not want him to get run over by a cat person or dog hater, or someone on their cell phone.

Interesting place to put the ammo can. Does your truck have the mount on that location? Mine has a pad(?) or mount or something or other. I greatly dislike to previous location of the fire extinguisher (under the seat) so I mounted it there. Sorry, I'll post a pic later on. Now if there's a fire, the extinguisher is right next to my hand. Still playing with putting an ammo can in between the seats. I've got everything from 30 cal skinny box up to 20mm and 5.56 mini gun (almost the same size as a 20mm can). Descisions, descisions. Good part is plenty of dexion. It's the straight and 90 degree angle metal that can be formed into almost anything. It'll make a good base for whatever I decoide. Used it to mount the CB (I know, more pics:)).

THere was a pad there with 8/32 screw nut inserts so I just measured the distance and screwed it down. The screw holes ended up being dead center of the box.
I am going to either build or bvuy a tuff box thats lockable for the console between the seats. May just build my own.
