Rebuilt and installed front drive shaft. Tried to stop the leak with the drain line, no go. The o ring inside the drain hole is shot. Non standard o ring. I'll just wait till the new filter base comes in.

couple new pics for update, got the new tires on and wheels, now running 39x13.50x17r BF-Goodrich Baja KR tires on 17 Inch caddy esclaide wheels. still need a new rear window, crank and gaskets though.

hey I saw a maroon CUCV 1009 in Pico Rivera CA the other day when I was there for work, nice clean unit. seen pictures of it here, but dont know who's it is? and cant remember where I saw the pics.
 
Worked on electrical issues i have had.

Installed a new parking lamp socket
Got both alternators Gen1 and Gen2 working took out some unneeded wiring Truck is running like a champ All the lights work now

Still have to work on the horn and change tires and do a license plate lamp :grd:

Front D/S works good (knock on wood) found the fuel leak, pesky grommet up inside the drain line port:evil:, flipped it over, got a good seal, no more leak. Touch up paint on the varioues bolts and plugs used to fill all the holes left over when the antennas were removed. Put $50 into the tank, runs good.

Gonna see about some glow plugs. Takes three clicks under the dash before they're warm enough to start the engine.

Installed a rebuilt IP, new fuel filter (Spin on type), belts and new gaskets on the axles on my M1010 over the last week. At first I thought my pump may have had issues but I had to bleed all the air out of the lines and now it is all good. Drove it around town and forgot how heavy and slow the M1010 is compared to my M1009, kind of expected when a M1010 is about 7400lbs empty. Still need to drain and bleed the brakes with new fluid as it looks pretty dirty.

I also patched a few small cabin holes in the M1009 that were causing some extra inside noise. Used the handy welder to patch the holes and seal them up to prevent leakage. The floors are not rusted out, not sure if they drilled holes in there in the past and over time they became larger and less round. Then last weekend I replaced the hubs and checked the bearings and repacked them. So my M1009 is ready for my long road trip in a few weeks to Hooks, TX for my M101A2 trailer when ever my EUC clears.

Curious what was holding your hub on. Got a bunch of lighting projects for my camper. Other than that, I need some shocks, door rubber, and I think I'm good to go for the winter.

From what I saw, only blue silicon was holding the lock-out hubs in place. Not a single allen blot or even any broken off. I really am surprised that it stayed on there, but that silicone I had to cut out with a razor blade. I was surprising on there very tight. My new hubs now have all of the allen bolts in place, the treading was OK.

The door rubber can be had from LMC truck, I thought I replaced the driver side, but do not recall if it was the one you bought from me. I need to change my M1009 out, my M1010 was replaced already after I got it last year.

new ps pump, new master cyl. both tie-rod ends and dampner, all wheel bearings and seals, and brakes. and a new shell to keep the snow out this winter, just got it on day before the first snow. and pic of lunch bbq on Homer spit, there was left overs...:cool:.

Currently working on the front floors and rockers. (only replacing whats needed) Had a ton of mud/sand on the driverside. Once everything is welded and sanded down the next phase is coating entire floor with Chasis Saver and spraying down with green carc to keep it original. After that the next phase is gonna be to install a stereo and speakers.

new wheel bearings fromt and rear. new brakes, fixxed windshield wipers, new 1 gauge battery cables, new gear reduction starter, civvy console,painted rear bumper, new lift pump, now only about a thousand more things to replace, rebuild or lay hands on.

Roscommon 12 volt conversion, new gear reduction starter, moved the drivers side alt to the passenger side to "fix" it, new belt for the alternator. Started Beautifully...
