Are the roads not salted (in the winter), in CO?

Some counties use a spray at the beginning of the season but mostly they just put down sand. Chains and studded tires are legal here (and actually mandatory depending on conditions).

SOS different day. Splitting firewood. Loading up my Crown of Thorns M1009. I have all my CUCV's listed for sale. I have 7 vehicles and getting to use them 1 day a week is getting costly. I left the state inspection run out on 2 and have been driving my new truck for the past 2 months. I have to get back out and get splitting. Funny how I find no helpers when the work gets harder. Labor day is a day to Labor. Have a great day.

Noticed a non consistent rattle when driving...the only thing I can see out of place is the ps pump pulley has almost minimal to no clearance at the bottom of the pump housing...it was all replaced a year ago...are these things just crap in general and is there a better than stock replacement? I read some on it and it seems everyone is still using the same style part which will just fail later anyway

Check the starter support bracket. See if it is off and rattling about. I can take a picture of the pump. Are you talking P/S pump???

I have almost no gap.ftom the pulley to the housing and I'm not sure if its.supposed to be like that or not

So I looked again..i think your bracket is a little different than mine but I noticed that the mounting point at the water pump bolt it missing the nut and I now suspect that is exactly where my coolant leak is happening..i will.have to dismount the steering pump to tighten the bolt and find a replacent nut for the power steering bracket...if it works out I won't need to replace the pump as I had originally though...i hear it's a pita anyway..thanks for the picture

Not sure if this bolt comes from behind the water pump or not but I guess I have something to do after work now : /

that's the nut that it missin. The bracket is still there and I'm pretty sure the bolt that comes out of it is securing the water pump but it is loose...it does not appear to be able to fall out thankfully

Removed the Diagnostic Plug and harness. Have a nice gauge bracket now,just gotta decide which one I want.

I was going to do that and place a tach there but I haven't found solid information on how to hook it up or "sync" it to operate correctly

OK done with the wood pile for the day. My CUCV M1009 has always been the best wood truck I ever owned. It is able to crash thru brush and carry all the needed tools and fuels to get the job done. the trailer is easier to load and unload in comparison to the M1028 i used for years and I never smashed a back window or bed side since I use the trailer and the M1009. I have traveled many miles up hill and down hill. Loaded and empty. Not the fastest but not the slowest I owned. I had several Isuzu diesel 4 x 4 pickups in my life time., i loved them but I climbed hills in low 2wd 4th gear to get home already. I was dealing with 65 HP on my 1982 Isuzu P'up. Great vehicle they were. 30 MPG all day loaded and empty.My CARC painted Honda is a slick piece of equipment.
