What year should I put on the SF97 request form?

Thanks for all the feedback. I went with 2000. It's a nice round number and it sounds like I'm within a year of original manufacture date one way or the other. I still don't understand the serial number lookup stuff, but close enough.

That year is correct...example: 187xxx is a 01-00.....193xxx is a 02-01.
