That plunger is straight so it can just come out. Will the plunger move in? Could the plunger be bent?

Yes, it could be bent.

I didn't get a chance to work on it tonight. I will try again tomorrow and see what happens.

Your best bet now is really just to split the winch and remove the pin from the other side before you damage the case.

OK I wish I could post the page 18-24 from the tm that I have on my one post. The lock does not come out as one piece on this old of winch, the pin comes out the drum side. So I will weld this one back up or try and find an older style lock, I don't think the new style will work.
