Hello cattlerepairman, And I bought this M185A3 in New York and heavy hauled it and my M35A2 ( with all my possessions) to my new home in Florida. Here I am FIRST having the space and time to address this engine issue, but its OK. I look forward to its resolve, especially with the help of STEEL SOLDIERS

You just aren't thinking hard enough. You could rent a lift at the very worst. There is a couple members down in Fl that have wreckers, offer a case of beer or something. Hells, get a keg and have a motor swap party one weekend.

I think he would be better off with the civy wrecker that has 2 booms. I've been drooling over that since you brought it home!

Darn, we have two people who want the crane in Florida. Is there more than one crane? Who is closer & has cash? Who is more ethical on these deals? Is my cash stash up to the deal or is my banker up to the mood in lending? I do have transportation arranged if needed. A quandary is upon us. Did I forget the free multifuel motor with the deal, No........James......................

The rough terrain doesn't hold a candle to this one, imho, of course:

With that crane he can move that engine over the house if he needed to. The wrecker can only lift about 10ft right ? That crane can probably lift over 30ft correct ? So after he installs that engine he needs to build a new barn to store the truck in. With the crane he can lift roof beams and roofing and everything else needed to build this new building. After building my own home I wished I had bought my own crane instead of paying people to do the lifting for me.

I think that crane has a 25 boom with a 10K rating. I would prefer the crane over the Air Force truck as no insurance, tags, etc. Plus, building your own pole barn to keep all the toys under is the ticket!
