Well, the size of my horn finally matches the size of my bobbed deuce! Maybe in good spirits I should shorten the horn to only 3 bells instead of 5? :D

They warned me this horn setup would suck up some air. Boy does it! Just a few seconds takes 25 psi. I'm told the horn setup can use 70 scfm wide open, and my compressor only puts out 13.2 scfm. Of course I'm not going to use it for long bursts. I only want it for the occasional nut job that pulls out in front of a 13,000 lb military vehicle going 55 mph.

I can't find the size of the factory deuce air tanks. By using the outside diameter I came up with 20 gallons each. I'm thinking 30 gallons total. Anybody know for sure?

Comments:
- Nathan Airchime K5LA train horn
- Air compressor governor is set for 125 psi (cut-in 105 psi)
- Horns are so well hidden nobody saw them at a car show today
- Mounted manual valve between deuce air ride seats
- Tested at 100 ft = 116.4 dB
- Tested at 3 ft = 149.4 dB

Who sponsors/ schedules the Car & Coffees; is it like a club with membership and a group of club officers or something?
I'm not actually sure how Cars & Coffee shows got started, but it's worldwide now. The goal is to have a regular car show at a parking lot where coffee and or donuts are served. This allows people to show up early on a weekend and pack a parking lot because cops think we are regular customers to the open shops. Cops only show up when idiots peel out or get sideways and wreck leaving the event. Acting stupid and causing wrecks usually gets the car shows shut down. Although I'm not on Facebook a few of my friends are, so they let me know when/where the car shows are being held.

There are really famous Cars & Coffee events in California and other big cities. Jay Leno frequently attends the Cars & Coffee events around his area. He has driven many of his beautiful collectibles to those shows. Not sure how they are structured, but the really nice ones have parking lot sections specifically dedicated by make and model of vehicle. Then there's the local ones around here that have a Ferrari parked next to a pile of crap "drift" car parked next to a 1953 Military bobbed deuce. :cookoo:

Sorry to bother you for such a little thing like this. I looked everywhere on the net and couldn't find your steering column mounted boost & EGT gauge. I have a bobbed M35A2 and would like to turn up the pump as per your video. But I need to watch the pressures and temps as you noted. I like the gauge and mount you have and want the same. I've been toying with the idea of 49" tires and after reading the pages of what you went through and how you got out of control to install the 53's I think I'll leave mine 46's alone. In my younger years I built Street Rods and go fast engines. I'm way impressed with your work and engineering then I read you are an engineer. Duh! My business was called "The Car Doctor" your hired. Before I close, what was your starting boost and how high did it reach? Also I read no more then 1100 degrees, right? Thanks for your help, Steve-cruising at 55mph

The combination boost/EGT is made by ISSPro, and it's called the Turbocator. Here's where I posted the price and where I got it from = Click Here.

I recall my boost as 4-5 psi stock, and I turned it up to 12-13 psi. Others have gone higher than 1100 F (as high as 1250 F), but with an unreliable multifuel that is flirting with disaster. Thanks for the kind words.

- Install 2 new gates & fencing
- If it moves throw more concrete on it!
- Many thanks go out to my best bud that has a burn pile.
- Old concrete mixers are much better than mixing with a shovel

Catching up on my thread to update some event pictures. Took my deuce to a diesel trucks drag race & show event at State Capitol Raceway in Port Allen, LA on 05/14/16.

Notes:
1) Took the deuce down the drag strip! Ran pretty consistent. I do own a bracket racing trophy or three from drag racing previous vehicles.
2) Got smoked by a beautiful white Peterbuilt on the first pass. Got smoked by a Pontiac G8 on pass #2.
3) Deuce never skipped a beat. Drove 50 miles to the event. Raced twice. Drove 50 miles home. Thank the good Lord for A/C in my deuce!

Catching up on my thread again to update some event pictures. Took my wife in our bobbed deuce on a Freedom Ride through the Louisiana countryside with a few Jeep clubs on 07/04/16.

Notes:
1) Freedom Ride was about 200 miles round trip from our house to all of the checkpoints and back.
2) No issues with the deuce whatsoever. Other than a lot of dead dinosaur juice was burned for fuel.
3) I had my doubts once we reached Tunica Hills because some of the trails were tight, but the deuce made it!
4) I never had to engage 4wd. The flag pole took a beating from a few vines hanging down. Flag is fine.
5) Crossed the Audubon Bridge in St. Francisville for the first time. Used to take the ferry.
6) They let me lead the convoy for most of the day because of my 55 mph limited top speed (no overdrive).

Thanks Ahab! I had to wash the deuce down when I got her home because the Tunica Hills mud is something fierce if you let it sit overnight. That's the first time I bathed the deuce at a coin-op car wash. I was getting some attention while in bay #3. :D

Your top speed is still 55mph, even with the bigger tires?
Yes, the Allison AT545 that I have behind the Cummins 6BT engine in my deuce only has a 1.00:1 fourth gear ratio. The factory Spicer 3053A has a 0.85:1 fifth gear ratio. So I can only hit 55 mph on my Autometer GPS speedometer with my current setup of modifications listed in my signature file. Keep in mind I have not changed the factory Cummins 6BT governor of 2500 rpm.

1) Deepest water I think I crossed was 5-6 feet. I turned the A/C off and unplugged my condenser fans going that deep.
2) Rescued over 100 people + pets over 4 days.

Good for you Hank ! That's the kind of Spirit that makes America great ! The willingness to help out others in need !
Just so you know, I haven't forgotten about the Sound test in the deuce. I had to replace both side door windows also along with both front windows ! I cannot tell you how much I "HATE" rust !!!! Especially the "hidden" rust in window channels !
