I'm not certain, but I think those 6 holes are where the U-Bolts go to support the Convoy Light pole. At least that is what they are for on a 5-Ton... Those little plugs though - are pretty neat if you only have one light pole or maybe none... Less ways for yellow jackets to find a nice place to build a nest. Especially down south.
.
Up here it's wasps. They're everywhere and they seem to really like my Deuce. There were many times this summer when I was working with a dozen wasps a foot or less away. I tried some different brands of sprays and nothing worked. They keep coming back. I haven't gotten stung yet, but it's inevitable I guess.

WD-40 on the nest will make them find a new place. That little red straw will give you the ability to get some "distance" between you and them. I would test it before you try it on the live critters though...

Funny how it works. Wasps and yellow jackets = evil. Honey Bees, I walk over to their feeder with a couple of thousand bees hanging out. Pour more feed in their tray and they calm down almost immediately. They are almost friendly. I do wear a vale when I open their hives but that is only because they seem to want to get "in your face" and getting stung around the eyes just seems like no fun. I really enjoy caring for them.

Started mine up, pulled it out of the garage so I could check & air the tires (too tight in the garage to get down to air the tires). My Husky compressor gave out early this year so I use the onboard. That also charges the batteries. Checked fluid levels & put it back to bed.

V8 is your Deuce bobbed? Love the winch.
it is original but I like it this way as I mainly use it to do work around the house. It is funny before I purchased the truck I sat down with my wife to discuss what better suited our needs a regular pickup truck or a m35a2 and it quickly became apparent that the pickup truck was not practical for us at least at this time.

Oh, okay V8 I couldn't see the rearmost axle in your avatar. You do have a nice looking Deuce! I use my Deuce the same way you do. Lowes, Home Depot, and trash disposal/yard waste. Thanks for your reply.

It is definitely a work in process I would say it is pretty from far but far from pretty if you know what I mean. Eventually one day I would like to paint it but That is a lot of work and I am too cheap to pay somebody to do it

Just like mine V8 a great 60 ft. paint job. I've gone through three cases of Rapco O.D. Green so far. I would love to have Brutus sandblasted and painted, but I don't have the money.

Well..I just stood in frustration, Looking at my early Deuce GMC M135, As I now have a Rotator cup injury to my right shoulder..
I have the newly manufactured petrol tank to fit and the overhauled master cylinder and boost pack.
My doctor ordered me NOT to do ANYTHING (At all), for 6 weeks!.
If conditions do not improve, (Then) I have to have an operation on the tendons.
And to pile on the misery..Total Lock down has now been extended all over the U.K. from December to January end.

(Hang two, (older members only))....I'm about to practice what I'm always going on about...I will report tomorrow (Saturday)..IF, I havent been hospitalized!.

Report Update. ( Old gimmers! ).
No I did no work as instructed, But, I did go at it in my exercise routine.
Excluding all the routines connected with arms.
And Shoulders.
DID, Forward lunges, Rearward Lunges, Squats and Leg Crunches, (Difficult (with one arm, But not impossible)),
Leg and calf risers.
Result?,
NO pains in the hip.
No Pain in the rotator cup.

So, Nex thing..I Carefully lift my newly manufactured Petrol Tank onto a pallet, And painted it, First with undercoat, Then with Olive drab green.
oops, The pain in the rotator is creeping back..
I quit while I was still 'In Front'.

Exercise (Within your own bounds), is a must in old age.
