I installed my new gas tank tonight I used a new tank for a 57 chevy bel air 16 gallon. It fit pretty good . Moved the passenger side hanger strap a couple inches The filler neck is in same location as m37 same size too .

Looks good are you going to use a plastic paint or oil base paint

Oh mine is done, almost 6 years now, I did Gillespie Coatings (alkyd) to match my truck, left the horn button black.

Good I have 2/3 of a gallon left I been painting the floors and inside the engine compartment with it leaving most of exterior with original patina for a while

Thanks I still got a ways to go been doing the wiring trying to make a good clean wiring job which was going good until I got under the dash wiring a lot more wire than I thought

my cost for gas tank was $96 the sending unit was around $30 fuel gauge $50 and $20 for 12” of 2 1/4” rubber hose for filler neck

I’m just about done wiring I went to wire up front drive lights for parking lights / turn signals and discovered someone’s quick fix

Here’s the other light which I cleaned up and installed 1156 bulbs

I had a spare light that had good internal parts so installed it and put bulbs in it / I decided to put led taillights in they were a quick fix for the rear because they have built in back up lights and I had no taillights they work good are very bright
