So why are you even on here Justal67? You don't own a MV, have flat out told us you have no interest in the MV hobby, come off in on one of your first posts on the site as a jerk which is why everyone in the thread is fired up and then claim all of your/your familys "supposed" service to this county as justification for your actions without someone else being able to question you?????????? You act like a troll that prowls the message boards on the internet just waiting to stir up a fight.

Did you rub some of the members incorrectly....um YES. Most of the guys on this site don't take well to posts with the tone that yours had from someone who had just joined the site; regardless of the reason that you joined or the reason for the post. If you already had your reservations about members on this site and already knew what kind of replies that you would get from the members then why even post here? It doesn't make sense to me.

And no, I don't give a crap what someone pays for their toys, if they can afford it and think its is worth the money then good for them. I might not believe the price paid, but like I said its not my money they are using.

You can fire back all you want, I have said what I'm going to say and will not reply to you in this thread again. You can have the last word so you can feel better about yourself.

Bassetdeuce,
What was it that you heard about the Cat engines? I thought the 3116 family was a proven engine.

The 3116 was probably the worst engine (reliability) CAT ever put in an over the road vehicle when compared to their other engines. It was advertised as the next great CAT engine and ended up costing CAT a lot of money in warranty fixes/damaged reputation. CAT is now out of the over the road truck engine market.

Okay, so I thought I was done with this nonsense, but I forgot that I receive emails notifying me of responses to my posts.
And then I see it's this.
I have problems?
You just posted your or someone's personal information on the internet.
Are you trying to prove your manhood by doing that? And for someone claiming to have a BS and MBA, that just doesn't seem to bright.
And one address is for an auto parts store and the other comes up as a correctional institute.
You have a BS and MBA and work in auto parts? Nice.
I thought you were done too.

Huh? Oh, you are so into this you set it to notify you by email? Smart. Why miss a post.

Maybe he OWNS the auto parts store? Or maybe that's what he is into. Maybe he likes that line of work. You're pretty judgemental. What would it matter if he had two degrees and wanted to sweep the floor there?

I really had not followed what the A3s were going for compared to the older trucks. When I saw that bid I was shocked! I never thought there was that kind of demand for those trucks. I thought everybody hated A3s. May have somthing to do with the older trucks being pulled?

The CAT 3116 is really not highly regarded compared to other CATs. From what I found, it needs an occasional injector syncronizing adjustment procedure done to it. In commercial apps, every 6000 miles a CAT tech needs to set/adjust each injector (camshaft actuated) and a specific injector fixture and dial indicator is needed. Injector cups and sleeves are junk, with injector replacement costs sky high. Perhaps someone else can elaborate further, I'm just going by what a little bird told me...... or they can tell me I'm full o sh1t....

Wow, thats kind of a big stretch to compare those motors. I think the mulit would last a long time if it had a pre-lube system for startup and you keep an eye on the rpms.

Thanks Gimp. I was parked across the way from him then. Don't think I really met him in person:oops:. Maybe next year!

If I had an A3 with an auto tranny my wife would want to drive it! I don't think so!
