Aaron,

Just a heads up, as luck would have it some of my soldiers are returning from deployment sometime O-dark thirtyish Friday night/Saturday morning so I need to be there to greet them at least, perhaps give them a ride back to the barracks if they need one.

That being said what time do you think you guys are starting the convoy portion in case I'm running behind from staying up all night?

Thanks,
Dale

Hey guys, I'm thinking about showing up at the tacoma mall to convoy south, are we going to just head south on I-5? Will I be able to keep up in my stock M37?

On a seperate note, do we need any firewood for the campfire? I've got some extra firewood that I don't need.

Thanks,
Collin

I'm out, going to be working at the airshow this weekend, besides, I haven't had the time to work on the truck and I don't want to chance it.
Scott, let me know if you want to put the muffler on Friday, I'll have things ready.

Parade Info:

Directions for those who don't make it to Aaron's prior to parade line-up and go directly to the parade:

Directions:

From the north (I-5 southbound)

Take exit #72
Right onto Rush Rd
Left at stop sign (still Rush rd)
Up the hill (maybe two miles)
Left onto E. Stella St.
Next right onto 4th Ave. NE

From the south (I-5 northbound)
Take exit #71
Left onto W Forest Napavine Rd. (over the freeway)
Wind up the hill (maybe two miles)
Becomes 5th Ave.
Right on E. Stella St. (no other choice)
Next left onto 4th Ave. NE

Line-up and registration officially begins at 9:30am
Parade begins at 11:00am

When registering, whatever you write about your entry will be read and broadcast at the reviewing stand.

A few words of caution:

Have your candy throwers throw well clear and far away from the vehicles. The kids will be running after it and potentially into the street.

This is the Seattle to Portland (STP) bike ride weekend – so watch for people bikes.

The parade route takes us across the main line railroad tracks and there will be a train. Make sure you STOP at the crossing to insure there is plenty of room to clear your rig on the other side. These are usually fast trains.

Hey Aaron, I thought about mapquesting your house but mapquest has let me down far too many times. Can you provide some directions to your house from I-5? The last time I drove it was at night a year ago (exit # etc)

Ok My truck is fueled up, PMCS complete, most of the packing is done too. I have a 0dark:30 mission tonight so I may be missing the parade but I'm coming with family/pets just like last year.

I won't have to work the airshow until late so I'm probably going to jump in the jeep and meet up with Scott at 0 dark thirty. At the very least I can take pictures.
